When I saw Ribisli’swork at a dear friend’s place, I immediately thought that I must show her the handcrafted lace pieces and fragments found in my family’s treasure trove so that we could do something with them.

Andrea patiently studied the pieces we had, we discussed the possibilities, and thanks to her help, some fantastic new pieces (tablecloths, stoles) were created from the eclectic lace fragments that had been lying in the cupboard!

Their work showcases great skill and expertise, and it is truly unique and irreplaceable! I can wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone!

Recreating an old embroidered tablecloth

The skilled hands of the Ribisli team – or rather, I should say embroidery artists – brought us great joy by re-stitching our nearly 80-year-old tablecloth, which preserves the handiwork of my grandmother and mother.

It was no easy task: transferring the pattern, selecting embroidery threads that best matched the original from the ones available today, and last but not least, embroidering the unique Kalocsa-style motifs on time.

One thing Ribisli couldn’t do: replicate the clumsy stitches of my childhood hands – because what they created with care and love is simply perfect.

My mother was deeply moved as she looked at the tablecloth, which brings back so many old memories, and now it decorates our living room—thanks to the Ribisli team, Anikó, and Andrea. Thank you!

Restoration of Antique Lace

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the skilled ladies of RIBISLI for the fantastic work they did on my mother’s hand-crocheted lace tablecloths, which were made approximately 50-80 years ago. The tablecloths have become truly stunning—one would never notice the repairs, and the patterns have been perfectly recreated.

It must not have been an easy task, as these were intricate lace pieces, which makes me appreciate their work even more. Repairing Antique Lace Tablecloths

Repairing old embroidered tablecloths

Thank you very much for restoring my old, damaged tablecloths. The heart-patterned embroidered tablecloth turned out beautifully—it's almost impossible to see the repairs, even where there was a nearly palm-sized hole. It's truly incredible!

I'm also glad I gave you the 12 hemstitched napkins that once belonged to my grandmother. The large tablecloth you created from them is wonderful. The additional embroidery makes it elegant, modern, and beautiful.

Hemp towel as a wedding gift

I already loved the hand-decorated towels on the website, and since I have several weddings to attend soon and my mother's birthday is approaching, I ordered two towels. I couldn't quite imagine in advance what knitted hemp would feel like, as I had never seen anything like it before. It has a very interesting, elastic texture, and the knitting pattern makes it even more unique. The hand-crocheted edges are truly masterpieces. I especially appreciate this because I learned to crochet a year ago, but I am far from creating such refined work.

Embroidered living room curtain - custom order

I was looking for a curtain for a large window in my living room that would filter direct sunlight. I envisioned a curtain with refined elegance and a subtle ambiance. Out of the various design suggestions, I ultimately chose an ancient Hungarian embroidery pattern in natural yet pastel colors. The pattern repeats across the curtain, aligning with the six sections of the window.

My first impression upon opening the package was immediately positive. The curtain is beautifully hand-embroidered and finished. Even the fabric's color is exactly what I had imagined. So far, my experience with Ribisli has been outstanding, and I believe I will order from them again in the future.
